I take great joy in raising two of my most favorite dog breeds! Over the last 3 years I have had the privilege of making some wonderful connections with my many customers. Starting out with my two Pembroke Corgi's Charlie and Zipper, I fell in love with the breed and it's now become more than just a hobby. My corgis are part of my life and they make it all the jollier! I know raise both Pembroke and Cardigan Welsh Corgis and my goal is to raise happy and healthy puppies for my customers to enjoy for many years. Feel free to look around and meet all of our Corgis.
How My Corgi Dream Came True I'd like to take you back to the beginning of my love for Corgis. My earliest memories are of the part puppies played in my everyday activities, my shadow while I did chores, sitting in my lap during my homeschooling, playing fetch, you name it...I had a puppy.... I also enjoyed a close and meaningful relationship with my grandfather who I affectionally called Papa. My Papa was an especially kind and gentle man who had a heart for all animals. For instance, one time he found a young fawn curled up on the side of the road and brought it home. He bottle fed it along side his bed until it outgrew the bottle. My Grandfather harbored a deep love for Pembroke Welsh Corgis and dreamt of the day that a Corgi would be his. His enthusiasm for this short legged little creature with a doggy smile was very contagious and before I knew it he had me addicted. We would both dream of the day a wiggly little Corgi would finally be in our arms. Years passed and we searched and begged. We pleaded with my grandmother and my parents for a Corgi puppy. After my grandfather passed in 2012, I still longed for a Corgi. Although my Grandfather never fulfilled his dream, I anticipated the day that a Corgi could be mine. In 2014, on the day of my golden birthday, while I was still dreaming, my dad quietly left the still house. He slide into his gray pickup and turned his truck north. His destination lay just outside Tyler, Texas which is about 3 hours from our home. Secretly my parents had been scanning the adds for Corgis and hoping for the just the right one for me, their first born daughter. Their search lead them to the home of an old fellow who owned a typical dusty red male Corgi, with creamy white up his paws and a rare fluff to his coat. Also, he owned a short and stocky unique brindle female with stubby ears and sweet eyes. My dad made the deal with my birthday surprise in mind. My dad emerged on the busy highway this time with priceless cargo! Upon my dads arrival home, I opened the gray Excursions door to being greeted by two grinning dog faces. Corgis at last! Memories flooded my mind as I hugged their fluffy necks and felt them kiss my tears away. These corgis, Charlie Bob and Zipper melted into my heart and I knew that I had received the gift of a dream come true. From the moment that I looked at Charlie Bob and Zipper in their sweet dazzling eyes, I felt that they were right at home and acted like they new me their whole life. growing! When my first female, Zipper had puppies I felt the need to be able to make someone else's dream come true. Over the last two years I have been blessed with wonderful customers and every puppy I raise reminds me of the dreams with my grandfather. Having such a good example for a grandfather I have been able to keep following in his footsteps. By putting into practice the love and kindness he showed in my short time with him, I have now fulfill the dream of my grandfather and plan to keep fulfilling his dream.
